DOJ accused of deleting files related to Trump

In the first interview released, documents show the woman asked officers if she could show them a photo of Epstein, which does not include Trump, to identify him as one of the people who allegedly abused her.
As for why she left out Trump, she explained that she was “concerned about involving additional individuals, especially those who were well known, for fear of retaliation.” At the time she was interviewed, Trump was serving his first term in the Oval Office.
NPR also noted that the woman’s biographical information matches that of someone who filed a lawsuit against Epstein’s estate in December 2019, which does not name the president. After a settlement in 2021, the woman voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit.
Last summer, an FBI document noted that there was an accusation against Trump, but it said the accuser “ultimately refused to cooperate.”
About a month after her first interview, Epstein was found dead in his prison cell, which was ruled a suicide.
