DOGE has built an AI tool to slash federal regulations

The Department of Government Efficiency hopes to use a new AI tool to eliminate half of the regulatory mandates of the federal government, According to the Washington Post.

Reference A PowerPoint presentation Dated July 1, the post reports that the Doge AI Deregulation Decision Tool is supposed to analyze around 200,000 federal regulations and to identify those who are no longer legally obliged to eliminate half of those rules by the first anniversary of President Donald Trump’s return.

It seems that this work is already underway, whereby the presentation states that the tool has already been used to assess the regulations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and to write “100% of the Deregulation” Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

A spokesperson for the White House told the post that “no plan has been approved or illuminated green”, but the Doge team praised as “the best and smartest in the company.”
