Disney sees almost 200 fired on TV, ABC News

Disney takes just under 200 employees on the TV and ABC news activities, the latter in a series of cutbacks on his employment base while the more difficult territory for media companies navigates.

The reductions account for almost 6% of staff in the two business activities according to a person who is familiar with the issue. As part of the movements, the company Fivethirtyeight, AKA 538, wraps the data unit that was part of ESPN before moving to ABC News, and he had become a source for analysis of polling data at the run-up to American elections.

Disney refused to make managers available for comment.
