Disney is expanding with Deal with Disney Channel and Disney Junior

Powerhouse Bein Media Group, based in Disney and Qatar, have expanded their content agreement in a new partnership, so that Bein has given rights to Disney Channel and Disney Junior in the Middle East and North Africa region (Mena).

The new deal will bring Disney Channel and Disney Junior to English and Arabic to Bein’s Outlets in Mena, where Disney+ has operated as a standing streaming platform since June 2022.

Bein-Dat is co-owner of the American Indie Studio Miramax exploits linear satellite channels in 24 areas in Mena. Historically, the company has been powered by sport, but the range of script content has increased steadily lately. In 2022, Bein launched its TOD Streaming Platform, which currently has a 4% share in the Mena streaming market thanks to a mix of premium sports and script content.

“The addition of two new channels, Disney Channel and Disney Junior, promises to offer our young public hours and entertainment and adventure,” said Esra Özaral Altop, Chief Entertainment Content Officer of Bein Media, in a statement. “With selected content that is also available, Bein strengthens his dedication to bring Premium Entertainment to Mena and to solidify its position as the broadcaster of choice for families in the region.”

Although the companies have not specified which part of Disney content will be available in this deal on-demand on Bein, it is clear that Disney keeps his best live action titles for the Disney+ subscribers of the Mena region, the number of which is still being kept under wraps.

The previous content agreement between Bein and Disney, signed in 2022, concerned Bein with Disney’s recently re -launched star channels, as well as National Geographic, in the region.

Content marked as part of the new Bein-Deal includes Top-Disney animation titles such as Paris-Set Superhero series “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir”, iconic series “Phineas and Ferb” and “Monsters, Inc.” Spin -off “Samples at work.” The deal also consists of older live action library content such as Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi”, Steve McQueen’s Oscar-winning “12 years a slave” and worldwide loved medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy”.
