‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Costume Designer Receives SeriesFest Award

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” costume designer Molly Rogers will receive SeriesFest’s Excellence in Costume Design Award.

Rogers, who also worked on HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” reboot, “And Just Like That,” will receive the award on March 7 during the 12th annual SeriesFest. The event, presented in partnership with Matthew Morris Salon to commemorate their 20th anniversary, will celebrate Rogers’ career.

“It is an honor to be recognized by SeriesFest,” said Rogers. “When we started working on ‘Sex and the City’ in 1998, we couldn’t have predicted how audiences would respond to the costume design. It’s been so fun to see the fandom for these characters and their fashion over the years.”

Rogers began working in the costume department for “Sex and the City” and its two subsequent films, when Patricia Field headed up the franchise’s style. The restart saw Rogers team up with Danny Santiago. Together they brought back high-end classics like Dior and Chanel to the wardrobe of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), while also collaborating with new designers from social media and around the world.

Randi Kleiner, CEO and co-founder of SeriesFest added, “We are so excited to celebrate Molly Rogers and her legacy in costume design at our second inaugural Fashion in Focus event. Rogers’ inspired and groundbreaking work has helped shape decades of mainstream fashion and continues to entertain new generations of fans with her storytelling through costume.”

SeriesFest takes place from May 6 to 10 in Denver, Colorado. The nonprofit will host a wide range of programming, including scripted, unscripted and late night pilot competitions, exclusive screenings, series premieres, innovation talks, panels, workshops and parties. Additional program details will be announced soon.
