Delta is expanding direct flights from this US hub to the Caribbean

Detroit, Michigan, is emerging as an essential hub for travelers heading to the Caribbean. Delta Air Lines recently launched a weekly nonstop flight from Detroit to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, on Saturdays. This follows the relaunch of non-stop service to Nassau, Bahamas.

Looking ahead, Delta plans to introduce a direct route from Detroit to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, this summer, as reported by Caribbean magazine. These new connections offer Detroiters a welcome escape from the city’s harsh winters.

Round-trip flights from Detroit to Turks and Caicos currently cost about $812, according to Google Flights.

Other Delta flights from Detroit to the Caribbean include:

  • Montego Bay, Jamaica:
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
