Defeat the skin problems on vacation with these simple fixes

Skin problems on vacation are the worst.
You plant for months. You book the flights, explore the hotel and carefully pack your suitcase, including travel sizes of your favorite skin care products.
You have earned this summer vacation and you are ready to finally relax.
But then, while you land in paradise, you discover a brand new outbreak. Of course in the most visible places. Or maybe you have tight, dry skin after your long flight. Or even worse, a rash, irritation or red spots that make you want to put a bag over your head.
You have packed those few products the size of a travel format, but you have planned for a regular skin care routine, not all these problems! You wanted to enjoy your vacation, not spending wondering how quickly you can detect a decent cleaning agent in a nearby drugstore.
So why does this happen? And more importantly, what can you do about what you have with you?
Skin problems on vacation: why it comes up
Even the happiest journey can cause a lot of stress, not only for you, but also for your skin. You change your environment, which is stressful enough, but then you can also change your diet, sleep patterns and daily routine. These changes can bring your skin out of balance in different ways.
Here are some of the most common perpetrators:
Trips
Dry, recycled air can suck the moisture from your skin and aggravate fine lines, flakes and irritation. The low humidity in aircraft cabins can dry out your skin quickly, even during short flights.
Sun exposure
Even if you wear sunscreen, any extra time in the sun can leave your skin warm, dry or even burned. UV rays cause inflammation and break down the protective barrier of the skin, which can lead to peeling, redness, bags and long-term skin damage.
Change in the climate
If you go somewhere with a different climate than your place of residence – even if it is just something else – it can cause your skin to be against it. Transition from a moisture to a dry environment, or vice versa, can disrupt the moisture balance and oil production of your skin.
Disturbed diet and sleep
Holiday often means less sleep, or at least disturbed sleep, which immediately emphasizes your skin and makes signs of aging more striking. You can also enjoy more sugar and/or more alcohol that can appear on your face. These internal shifts influence your hormones and inflammatory levels, which directly influence the clarity, elasticity and glow of your skin.
Different water and/or skin care products
Hotel Soapen, unknown moisturizing creams or hard water can irritate sensitive skin. Even a slight change in pH or the addition of odor can lead to outbreak, redness or allergic reactions.
Unspoken stress
Although you have to be relaxed, travel can come with his own kind of pressure. The airport comes on time, keeps the children happy or ensures that the journey runs smoothly that can weigh heavily with you. This tension at a low level can increase stress hormones in the body, which in turn can cause pimples, sensitivity or flare-ups of existing conditions, such as eczema or rosacea.

Skin problems on vacation – how to solve them along the way
Fortunately, most of these skin problems that appear on vacation are manageable, even if you have only packed a few small bottles. With the right approach and a small know -how, you can calm, hydrate and protect your skin so that it feels good again.
Dry, sleek or flaky skin
This is one of the most common problems that appear during vacation, especially after flying or spending time in spaces with air conditioning. Your skin can be tight and itching or looking boring.
Fast solution:
Take a bottle on travel format from our Rescue + relief spray and Spritz during the day to prevent your skin from drying out. It is full of anti -inflammatory drugs that help reduce redness and the skin look the best.
Then use a calming moisturizing cream that helps to hydrate and repair the skin barrier. A calming moisture the size of a journey works perfectly. It is lightweight but deeply nourishing. Use the morning and night or when your skin feels tight, irritated or as if it is suffering from a flare -up.
Breakouts and clogged pores
Whether it is the heat, sunscreen or changes in your diet, holiday breaks can be crazy, especially if you have left your usual acne products at home.
Fast solution:
Make sure you clean properly at night. Use a soft, sulfate -free cleaning agent (avoid bar soap!) And take the time. Even better, do a double cleaning if you wear sunscreen all day. Start by removing your makeup and then follow your usual cleaning agent. A skin care brush the size of size can cause you to remove all the dirt.
If you need a spot treatment, try brewing a green tea bag in a small amount of hot water. Let it cool down to room temperature and put it in the fridge if you have one. Then press the breakout directly for 5-10 minutes. Follow a cold compress or ice cube wrapped in a clean towel for 1-2 minutes to reduce the swelling. Finally, Spritz a little rescue + relief spray in the field to speed up the healing process. It is non-comedogenic and perfect for all skin types.
Bonus tip:
If your breakout seems heat-related, thick creams skip a day and let your skin breathe. Use a light hydrator and consistency.
Sunburn or skin that feels “hot”
You have done your best with sunscreen, but the sun was stronger than you are used to, and now your skin is red, hot or just uncomfortable.
Fast solution:
Cool the area with something that reduces inflammation. Again, our Rescue + Relief Spray is brilliant here. It wins best after the year after year. It feels like heaven on overheated skin! Keep it in the fridge if you have one and miss it over your face or other sun -drenched areas if needed.
Itchy rash or skin reaction
Sometimes your skin can respond to swimming pool chemicals, insect spray or even a new hotel cushion run. Red, itchy bumps and rash can suddenly appear.
Fast solution:
First stop using something new that you may have introduced. Then soften the irritation. A soft, odor -free, petrolatum -free healing balm such as our healing skin balm can help calm the skin and protect against further damage. Apply a small amount and do not rub too hard.
What to do about the pillowcase: If you suspect that the hotel bed or the pillowcase is the perpetrator, try one of your clean t-shirts or a soft scarf if the pillowcase instead of cotton that you know is tolerated.

Foam slips and dry hands
When you go on vacation, you can wash your hands more to prevent bacteria or use hand disinfecting agent, both of which dry out your hands. You can also forget to drink enough water. That can lead to dry, chapped hands and lips.
Fast solution:
Use a lip balm that contains nourishing ingredients. Our healing skin balm works wonderfully to repair damage at night. For hands, you have to apply our Body Repair Lotion of the size of the travel format again after every wash.
Skin problems on vacation: how you can prevent this
It is always best to prevent problems before they occur if you can. Try these tips.
- Stay with a simple routine. This is not the time to experiment with a new product. Keep using your regular cleaning agent, moisturizing cream, SPF and an extra soothing product, such as our rescue + relief spray.
- Keep your products consistent. If you fly, consider taking bottles on travel format of your favorite products with you or filling small containers with it, so that your skin is not related to something new.
- Stay hydrated. Your skin reflects what happens in your body. Drink a lot of water, especially during the travel days.
- Treat your skin at night. Even if you are tired, you take the time to wash your face and thoroughly hydrate before bed. It will help you reset your skin while you sleep.
