Dax Shepard crudely jokes that he ‘hit’ wife Kristen Bell in resurfaced video

Most fans didn’t find anything funny about Bell’s caption, as many pointed out that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

“Honestly a crazy thing to joke about. Sincerely, someone who luckily survived,” one woman wrote. A second warned: ‘Not funny at all. What kind of man says that to his wife? Oh, wait, I know exactly what kind. Now leave, Kristen.”

“Just another tone-deaf celebrity shedding light on women who are murdered by their partners every day,” said a third follower.

However, Bell’s odd humor was something some fans appreciated.

“We have to look at some dark things as funny. I’ve been in an abusive relationship and this is still funny,” a fourth person shared, while a fifth told Bell’s detractors: “Get your panties out of a bunch. It’s their relationship and their humor dynamic. Not yours.”
