Dave Matthews falls from the Fireaid concert due to family disease
Dave Matthews Has stopped with the Fireaid benefit concert because of a medical problem with the family.
“Due to a critical illness in the family, Dave Matthews is unfortunately unable to perform this week with the benefits of Fireaid and Musicares,” read a Instagram Declaration shared via the page of the Dave Matthews Band on Wednesday 29 January.
No additional details were shared about the health issue. Matthews, 58, shares two daughters and a son with wife Jennifer Ashley Harper.
Matthews was planned to enter the stage at the Kia Forum on Thursday 30 January, next to John Mayer. Mayer, 47, confirmed on Thursday that he would still perform and sent the wishes to the rock singer.
“Sending all my love to Dave, who will be there with me at Fireaid,” wrote Mayer through his Instagram story as he again made the announcement of Matthews.
This would have been the first time that Matthews and Mayer would have shared the stage.
The musicians were among the many A-list artists who announced the line-up of the concert. Katy Perry” Lady Gaga” Billie Eilish” Gwen Stefani” Gracie AbramsGreen Day, Jelly Roll And more were part of the two shows that took place at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Fireaid was announced earlier this month to support those who were displaced by the devastating forest fires who met in Los Angeles earlier this month.

All proceeds from the Fireaid benefit concert on Intuit Dome and Kia Forum go directly to the designated beneficiaries of the event, because De La Clippers cover the millions to the costs of the event. “
