Daniel Craig says he doesn’t care who replaces him as James Bond
Daniel Craig is So about the James Bond franchise – the 007 agent is officially off his radar, and he doesn’t care what’s next for the iconic character.
The British actor was asked to write down how many Bond films he’s been in while pairing his new film ‘Queer’ with a co-star Drew Starkey …and, if his body language didn’t give it away, his reaction to it Variety That certainly happened. There is no love lost for 007.
Clearly Craig isn’t keeping an eye on his Bond filmography – he fired back during their fun whiteboard game… asking: “Do you ask me That? Should I write the answer? I’m going to misunderstand.”
Drew took the reins and wrote “too much” on his board, and Daniel said, “Exactly,” with an awkward laugh. Then, after some hesitant counting, DC finally settled on five Bond films, which is indeed the magic number.
As if that answer wasn’t enough to show that he’s done with life as a spy hero, he was also asked who he would like to pass the Bond torch to – a question that has puzzled fans for ages.
Daniel immediately looked irritated, shrugged his shoulders with an awkward laugh and said bluntly, “I don’t care.”
Worth noting, at a press event for “Queer” earlier this yearCraig was asked if his participation in the film meant there was a chance that James Bond could one day identify as LGBTQ+ – and he laughed the question off, again on the whole subject.
