CoreWeave acquires AI developer platform Weights & Biases

NVIDIA-Supported data center company CoreWeave has taken over AI Developer platform weights and prejudices for an unknown amount.

According to the informationCoreWeave has spent $ 1.7 billion on the transaction. Weights and prejudices were appreciated at $ 1.25 billion in 2023, and it recently applied for an IPO.

Lukas Biewald, Chris van Pelt and Shawn Lewis founded weights and prejudices in 2017 to create tools for developing AI applications. Nowadays, more than 1,400 organizations, including AstraZeneca and Nvidia, use the tools of the startup as their record system for training and refining AI models.

CoreWeave says that the acquisition will be able to offer cloud services and infrastructure customers with “a powerful workflow for application development to accelerate AI route maps and bring innovations to the market faster.”

The customers of weights and prejudices can continue to use workloads where they prefer, CoreWeave said in a press release.
