Cordoba Media Group launches with ex-BBC Chief Tony Hall, Luc Julia

Pan-European Media Group Cordoba has launched with former BBC director-General Tony Hall of and Apple Siri Co-maker Luc Julia who participated as senior advisers of the Paris headquarters.

The new company, founded by Jesse Mimeran, Audrey Tcherkoff, Dana Al Salem, Cédric Torossian and Matthieu D’Arc, will focus on original content production and platform development, together with film, TV and maker’s economy companies for worldwide distribution.

Cordoba is planning to use advanced AI technologies to produce a diverse slate, including series, films, non-fiction, brand content and digital experiences, with international co-productions that include both established and emerging markets.

The group is launched with its original AI talent grid and trackflow platform and positions itself as a European leader in generative AI content creation.

Mimeran serves as a CEO and brings experience of UNESCO, UN, Canal+, France TV and TF1. Chief ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) Officer Tcherkoff previously held roles as general manager of the Women’s Forum and president of the Positive Economy Institute, together with VP of Positive Planet and BFM Business Hosting Tasks.

Chief Development Officer Al Salem was co-founder of Yahoo Europe and Sky Italia, while Chief Strategy Officer Torossian spent more than 15 years on Wall Street as a TMT (technology, media and telecommunications) analysts with TF1, M6, ITV and Mediaset. Special Advisor D’Arc is a managing partner at the Shift4Good Fund and former senior executive at BCG and at Kearney.

The Senior Advisory Board also includes Jacques-Henri Eyraud, former president of Olympique de Marseille and former VP of business communication at Disney, Plus Media 365 co-founders. Alexander Wrabetz, former CEO of Orf Austria and president of SK Rapid Vienna, complete the advisory team.

The AI ​​Talents initiative of the company collects 25 AI filmmakers in 12 countries. In the meantime, the TrackFlow platform offers end-to-end production solutions of development through delivery, designed to tailor AI options to processes for making content.
