The former American lawyer for the eastern district of Virginia, Jessica Aber, was found dead on Saturday morning in her house in Alexandria.

He said: “We are deeply sad to learn about the death of our friend and former colleague, American lawyer Jessica Aber. She was unparalleled as a leader, mentor and public prosecutor, and she is simply irreplaceable as a person.

“We remain awe for how much she has achieved in her over time in this world. Her professionalism, grace and legal insight set the standard.”

The lawyer continued: “Each of us in the eastern district of Virginia will look at her example and try to make it come true.”

“Jess was a proud Virginian of high school through the university and during her career,” said Siebert. “She loved Edva, and Edva loved her back. We continue to commit herself to her life’s work, a dedication to seek justice as she wanted.”

According to Aber’s biography of the Ministry of Justice, she graduated from the William & Mary Law School in 2006.

Appointed by former President Biden, she served in the role until she resigned on January 20.
