Conquest, Walking Dead Reunion, Devil Plot

Spoiler alert: This article contains large spoilers for the season 3 final of ‘Invincible’, which is now streaming on Prime VideoAnd small spoilers for the “invincible” comics.

Invincible cannot take a break.

In the aftermath of the invincible war, where Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) had to fight bad versions of himself against different realities because they caused mass destruction on earth, conquest here: a gray, battle -hardened feltrumite is ready to fight.

Conquest arrives in the final of season 3 because Mark has not prepared the earth for a feltrumite takeover, and now he has to pay the price. What follows is the most devastating, horrible fight since the Invincible vs. Omni-man-struggle at the end of season 1. Conquest is one of the most frightening and loose villains in the “invincible”-universe and it marks a nice “walking dead” reunion, who plays in the zombie series, who plays in the zombie series, a facules with Glanst’s Glansterie, with Glansterie, series, series, series, series and series series, series series, series series, series series, series series, series series, series series, series, series and series series, series series, series series, series series, series and series series, series series, series series, series and series series, series series, series and series series, series and series series, series series, series with Glanst series series, series series, series series, series series, series series, series, and Lanst’s series series series, series, and series series, series, series Series series series, series Series series series, series Series, series Series, series Series series series Baseball bat. Mark and conquest reversing buildings, break limbs and damn bystanders while they snails hundreds of miles over the planet. In a tribute to the notorious train scene in Chicago from season 1, Conquest Mark grabs the neck and flies through a busy beach of innocent people while bloody body parts start flying. Eve (Gillian Jacobs), who wakes up from her coma with a new robot bone, and Oliver (Christian Converse) takes part in the battle but is almost powerless against conquest. The feltrumite hits Oliver’s teeth and almost tears it in two, but Eva is able to delay the attack with its light constructions. However, conquered her, splits her jaw and hits a hole through her belly in just a few seconds.

Furly, Mark delivers a super strong punch that breaks both the hands of him and conquest. Conquest starts to choke Mark while he supplies a horrifying monologue, but suddenly Eva’s body regenerates in an eruption of the light and she sends a burning explosion of energy in the villain. With surprised conquest, Mark finally gets the upper hand and heads him, causing his skull in Pulp. But is conquest really dead?

After Mark recovers, he tells Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins) to burn the body of Conquest and promises a promise to kill someone who once threatened his family. But Cecil has his own plans, and he secretly keeps Conquest’s body in an underground facility to learn about the Viltrum -Rijk when he wakes up.

The last moments of the episode also reveal that the parasitic alien traits still roam through the sewers, the bloodthirsty battle Beast lives in space and Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown) survived the invincible war. After the credits there is also a scene in which Demon -Detective Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown), who was exiled to hell in season 1, appears again and talks with a sinister devil (expressed by Bruce Campbell) about calling a powerful “surface wage” to the underworld. Could Mark go to hell in season 4?

Of VarietyMaker Robert Kirkman discusses the conquest fight how that Darkblood scene could tease an unused storyline of the comics and when season 4 of “Invincible”, produced by Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, can arrive.

This is a brutal fight between Mark and Conquest. Did you try to surpass the Chicago struggle from season 1?

That was definitely a goal. We call it the Monaco series, where conquest rakes mark over the beach and the city. It was supposed to be a progress of the metro order. When I was writing that episode, I was very happy that Nolan Fight had become a high water marking of the series and I wanted to try to elevate things as much as possible. We also tried to bring a new taste to the series. Conquest is a much brutal felt rum than Nolan. The Monaco series was a way to pay tribute to the Nolan fight. With the back-to-back episodes of the invincible war and conquest, we wanted to give the audience an idea: “This is what you could get from this show in the future. You did not expect this, or did you?” Just try to set up the bet as much as possible.

Forward, is this a new era for Mark? We see him say that he is going to kill everyone who threatens his family members at the end.

This is a man who deeply regretted what he thought the murder of Angrom was Levy because he felt he looked more like his father. That was something he struggled for most of the season 3 and then became sharply aware of the fact that if he had actually killed Angstrom, it would have prevented a lot of misery. He absolutely believes that he killed conquest. It shows that this man is learning. I think one of the fun things about this series is that Mark is young. Early I saw people agree with Cecil and think that Mark was wrong at the start of this season, and yes, he is. He can be, that’s fine. I love the idea of a protagonist who makes mistakes, and many people try to avoid that. They don’t want the audience to be against the main character. But I think showing the naivety that Mark can have is important if he learns and grows from season to season.

When you cast Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a conquest, you intentionally wanted a “walking dead” reunion with him and Steven Yeun? Glenn finally gets revenge on Negan!

I always try to find roles for the actors I know and that I love and want to work again. I always try to find something for Jeffrey. When he started to appear on ‘The Boys’, I couldn’t let Eric Kripke so much fun. At a certain point it became: “If we conquer, Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be perfect for that.” I not only hesitated because there is the meta of everything, such as: “Oh, it’s the rematch between Glenn and Negan, and now Glenn can win.” Something it seemed fun and interesting. You are worried about things like that people get out of the show, but once you get it in and pay attention, it is not necessary something that you prevent. I don’t think it ruined the episode or something, but I think it improves things and put an extra level of bets on it. For everyone who is ‘walking dead’ fan for a long time, it is a nice bit of justice.

In last week’s episode you also had a “breaking bad” reunion with Aaron Paul as PowerPlex and Jonathan Banks as Brit. Was that on purpose?

Well, it’s funny because we just thought that Aaron Paul was perfect for power plex and that Jonathan Banks was perfect for Brit. It didn’t even come to us that they will be in scenes together and it will be a “breaking bad” reunion. It is always just a goal to cast the best actor for the role and sometimes these things happen accidentally. That said, I would like a “wire” reunion in a future season of “Invincible”.

Conquest is much creepier than he was in the comics, especially the part where he blows a heart -shaped bubble in Mark in space. Did you tried to expand completely about his character of the comics, and will we learn more about him in the show?

When I write an episode, I always go through the comic and I think about how I can make things more interesting. Because I write myself, I feel an extra responsibility. If I start writing the same a second time, I have to make it interesting for me and hopefully make it better for the audience. I just tried to make conquest as bizarre and compelling as possible. He is a character that I really love. He is very nice to write and he wasn’t very in the comic. If a character becomes popular with Marvel or DC, they always bring them back until they are less popular. By trying to make ‘invincible’ something that is celebrating traditional superhero storytelling, but also tries to play against the type, no matter how popular is conquest, we have told his story. That’s all you get. There is still a lot about it on the table that I would like to reach at some point. That is why you will see many more things with conquest in the show.

What is that Damien Darkblood teasing post-credits scene? We haven’t seen him since season 1 and he wasn’t really in the comics, so where was the idea to bring him back?

He was never sent to hell in the comics. He was a great character that we loved from the first season. Clancy Brown’s display of him was perfect and so great. We always wanted to find a way to get Damian Darkblood back in the show, and then – God, do I want to spoil this? There is a storyline from the comic that I have never done. Every super hero story has a chapter where they go to hell and they fight against the devil. It happens in DC and Marvel Comics. It’s a big problem. I am never on my way to do something like that in ‘Invincible’. I was always put on a side track and there was never a good time. So it is quite possible that we do something like that in the show, and that scene at the end of that episode is set up. Oh my God, and we went with Bruce Campbell. It’s the best.

Bruce Campbell is credited as a ‘demon’, and it seems that he is a kind of hellish patron for Darkblood. Does he play Satan in that scene?

Can be the devil. Could be. We just have to see it. Maybe I shouldn’t have spoiled that.

When we spoke after the final of season 2, I asked you if you had found a voice actor for Conquest of Dragg, and you said one of them was cast. We now have conquest, does this mean that Thragg appears in season 4?

I mean, it would certainly be weird if he didn’t appear in the show. Yes. I mean, I don’t know. It’s so difficult. This is what I will say: he is cast and he is great.

Season 3 released less than a year after the final of season 2. Are you aimed for the same timeline for season 4?

I will vaguely say the same timeline. I don’t know the quarter or the month. That is something that the Amazon team strategically sorts out what is the best way to drop the show. The Skybound team receives a lot of support from Amazon. The fact that they approve seasons the way they are and let us work is the reason we can get the show. I am very grateful for everything they have done, and they are pretty good at choosing release windows, so we will see. The goal is to continue the cadence that we have had with seasons 2 and 3. The plan is that you will see season 4 in 2026.
