Comedy series ‘Bloody Murray’ ready for Georgian adaptation

WRITTEN ADAPTATION

Yes Studios comedy ‘Bloody Murray’ gets a Georgian adaptation, Variety has learned. Cavea+, the first official streaming platform in Georgia, has picked up the series about housemates Murray, a romcom expert, and gynecologist Dana, who get into a fight over a man.

The series is the first Israeli scripted series ever adapted in the Eastern European country. It has also been adopted by CBC in Canada and Arte in France/Germany. Season 2 is currently in development.

“Bloody Murray” was created and written by Stav Idisis and produced by Yes TV and Kastina Communications. Yes TV has worldwide rights to the tapes and the format.

“We are honored that ‘Bloody Murray is a pioneer and will be the first Israeli scripted series to be adapted in Georgia,’ said Sharon Levi, General Manager of Yes Studios. “Cavea+ has invested a lot of faith in our wonderful show and we are confident that the mix of feel-good humor, romance and easily recognizable characters will prove to be a big hit and will quickly leave viewers wanting more.”
