Coldplay’s India Stadium Show will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar
British rock band Coldplay’s biggest-ever Indian concert will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar as the platform transitions into live music.
The Republic Day performance on January 26 from the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be available to viewers across India, marking a major streaming deal that includes exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band.
The streaming deal, presented in partnership with Cisco, will leverage Disney+ Hotstar’s technology infrastructure to deliver what the platform promises: a “seamless and immersive experience.” In promotional content for the stream, frontman Chris Martin said: “Namaste to all our friends in India. We are happy to announce that our show from Ahmedabad will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar on January 26, so you can watch it anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us; we are so excited to visit your beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”
“At Disney+ Hotstar, we have revolutionized entertainment and sports consumption in India by engaging viewers with unparalleled immersive experiences and consistently delivering value to our partners, advertisers and audiences,” said Sanjog Gupta, CEO of JioStar – Sports. “Our partnership with Coldplay reflects our commitment to bringing iconic cultural experiences to audiences nationwide. By leveraging our cutting-edge technology and unparalleled reach, we are breaking the barriers around privileged access to premium entertainment and making it available to everyone, fostering a shared celebration across the country.”
The show is part of Coldplay’s record-breaking ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’, which has become the highest-grossing rock tour in history. The band will perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19 and 21, ahead of concerts in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
