‘Cobra Kai’ star Alicia Hannah -Kim speaks out on Martin Kove Bite

“Cobra Kai” star Alicia Hannah-Kim has tackled the recent fight with co-star Martin Kove, in which he bit her arm at a fanvination.

Hannah-Kim posted a video on Sunday InstagramIn which she thanked everyone who extended and for their support.

“This was a serious incident,” said Hannah-Kim in the video. “Nobody wants to be attacked at work or anywhere. And I don’t think someone would think that this is normal or justified or acceptable.”

She continued: “I just think that if you are confronted with something like this, it is good to stand up for yourself. It is an important choice to make. I think it is the right choice to make. I also want to express that this does not represent my experience with the show in general.

On June 23, Kove was asked to leave Summer Con in Puyallup, after Hannah-Kim accused him of biting her during a VIP-Meet-and-Greet, according to a police report obtained by Variety. In the report, Hannah-Kim told an officer stationed in the VIP area that after she had taped Kove on the shoulder to say hello, he suddenly grabbed her arm and “so hard he almost pulled blood.” Although Hannah-Kim refused to press the charges, she asked having submitted a report “in case this continues.”

Kove gave a public apology the next day, after the news about the incident was broken.

“I am sorry deeply and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia (Hannah-Kim), a really friendly and great person who did not deserve to be placed in this position,” Kove said in a statement obtained by Variety van Jaffe & Co. Crisis management. “I have always respected her and considered her a very professional and talented colleague on ‘Cobra Kai’. I was playful at the moment, but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior. I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again apologize to her and her husband.”
