CNN bosses turn over classified financial documents ahead of Jake Tapper’s $1 billion defamation trial

Lawyers from Young have predicted damages in their case could reach $1 billion dollars if the jury agrees that “CNN published defamatory statements that harmed Mr. Young, ruined his reputation and destroyed his business.”

Young’s lead attorney, Vel Freedman, said RadarOnline.com after the failed settlement talks earlier this month: “Mr. Young is looking forward to trial in January and looks forward to presenting his case to a jury of his peers.”

CNN has continued to do that standby its controversial report, claiming it did not intend to cause any harm.

The civil jury trial will begin on January 6, 2025.
