Clémence Poésy joins the ‘Neuromancer’ series at Apple TV+

Clémence Poésy is the newest addition to the adjustment of the “neuromancer” series that is currently in the making of Apple TV+, Variety has learned.

Poésy will play the leading role in the drama with 10 episodes alongside fellow cast members Callum Turner, Brianna Middleton, Joseph Lee and Mark Strong.

Based on the book with the same name by William Gibson, states the official logline for “neuromancer” that it follows “on a damaged, best-closed super hacker called Case (Turner) that is pushed into a web of digital spy and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly with a Razor-Girline-Girline-Geam-Geam-Girline Corporate dynasty with a corporate dynasses.

Poésy plays Marie-France Tessier.

Poésy, best known for her work in film, previously played in positions such as “in Bruges”, “127 Hours”, “Principle” and several submissions in the film franchise “Harry Potter”. In television she appeared in the Apple TV+ series “The Essex Serpent” and played in the first two seasons of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.” Her other TV roles are ‘The Tunnel’, ‘Genius: Picasso’ and ‘Gunpowder, Treason, & Plot’.

She is being taken back by United Agents and Adéquat.

“Neurmancer” comes from fellow makers Graham Roland and JD Dillard. Roland will also serve as a showrunner, while Dillard will lead the pilot. Both are executive producers together with: Gibson; David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television; Anonymous content; Drake, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment; And Zack Hayden. Skydance Television will co-produce with anonymous content and Apple Studios.

“Neuromancer” was the debut novel of Gibson who helped gave birth to the cyber punk genre. It was first published in 1984 and then received a Hugo Award, a Nebula Award and the Philip K. Dick Award. The book led Gibson to publish two follow-ups, “Count Zero” and “Mona Lisa Overdrive.” Over the years, various attempts have been made to adjust the book to a film, although no one eventually improved.
