Christian McCaffrey doesn’t cry because the 49ers season ends early, he counts his wins and they start at home.
The 2026 Pro Bowler showed up at Raising Cane’s in Colma, California, to kick off the Super Bowl LX festivities with his brother, Commanders WR Luke McCaffreywhere the NFL siblings competed against each other in a playful “Raising Cane’s Challenge”… and even jumped behind the counter to serve fans during the drive-thru.
But while CMC just laughed and swung chicken fingers, he got real with it TMZ Sports on San Francisco not making a title run … and says he has no hard feelings about how things played out.
“At the end of the year, only one team is happy,” McCaffrey said. “Obviously we wish it was us… but I look back on this season and I’m very grateful.”
The star running back praised his teammates’ work ethic and said the bond in the locker room made it worth it.
“This was not a negative year,” he added. “It’s not something I’ll look back on and be resentful about. I was grateful to compete with those guys.”
But these days, Football takes a back seat to fatherly duties. McCaffrey also gave major props to his wife, Olivia Culpofor thriving as a new mother.
“When I see how well she can do it, I feel like the luckiest man,” he said. “It was such a blessing, man. You come home and see your little girl smiling… and nothing else really matters.”
The McCaffrey brothers – who were no strangers to internal competitions growing up – took part in a variety of challenges, including stacking cups, squeezing lemons and drawing their best Raising Cane’s logo.

“It was every kid’s dream to some degree,” Luke said. “With four brothers you’re 2-on-2 in everything, so I think that energy and the way my parents let us play naturally was fun. Luckily, we all fell in love with the same things and it was such a blessing, such a reward.”
And when does the Super Bowl start? Don’t expect them to wave team flags.
“When you’re not playing, you’re just watching and observing,” CMC said. “Hopefully it’s a good game… but you’re really not supporting anyone.”
The McCaffreys may not be in the title hunt anymore, but between family life and brotherly bragging rights, they still have plenty to celebrate.
