Chris Webber roasts the new Dwyane Wade statue

Dwyane Wade‘s new statue isn’t just feeling the heat from internet trolls… at least one former NBA star is also clowning around with it — with Chris Webber narrate TMZ Sports he thinks the monument looks like Morpheus!

We caught up with C Webb at LAX on Tuesday — and when we asked about the Wade statue that was just installed at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Sunday… he couldn’t help but roast the artwork.

He told us he thinks it’s more like that Laurence Visburne‘s character in “The Matrix” … or even Chris Rock‘s Pookie from ‘New Jack City’.

‘It also seems like the lead singer is out’The five heartbeats‘ when he sang,’ Webber added with a laugh.

However, Webber made it clear that he wasn’t shading Wade at all… in fact, he said he has Dwyane as his all-time No. 3 two guard – right behind Michael Jordan And Kobe Bryant.

Still, he was sure to poke fun at the new play — and he praised Wade for being a bit of the same.

As for how he thinks this could all have been avoided, he suggested that sculptors spend a little more time with their subjects in their personal lives… and not base their work solely on photographs.
