Chinese AI startup Manus reportedly gets funding from Benchmark at $500M valuation

Chinese Startup Manus AI, who works on Bouwtools with regard to AI agents, has collected $ 75 million in a financing round led by benchmark with a rating of around $ 500 million, According to Bloomberg.

The company will use the money to expand to new markets, including the US, Japan and the Middle East, Bloomberg noted, referring to people who are familiar with the case.

The Bloomberg report suggests that the fresh round has linked the appreciation of Manus, which has previously risen somewhere north of $ 10 million from Backers, including Tencent and HSG (formerly Sequoia China).

Manus was in the spotlight in March when the company launched a demo of a general AI agent who could complete various tasks. (In the testing of techcrunch it did not work as well as advertised.)
