Charlie Vickers, Yerin HA series ‘The Survivors’ sets Netflix debut

Netflix has set a premiere date of 6 June for ‘The Survivors’, the expected six-part Australian mysteries series based on Jane Harper’s best-selling novel.
The streaming giant also revealed a trailer that shows the rugged coastline of Tasmania as the background for this tense thriller in the small city.
Made by the highly praised Australian Showrunner Tony Ayres (‘Fires’, ‘Clickbait’, ‘Stateless’), follows the Kieran Elliott series, whose life was changed forever when two people drowned and a young girl disappeared in his coastal town of Evelyn Bay. Fifteen years later, when he returns with his family, the long -term guilt feeling indicate again. The discovery of the body of a young woman on the beach leads to a new investigation that threatens to expose long -term secrets, to reveal the truth about the missing girl and to expose a murderer within the close community.
The cast of the ensemble contains Charlie Vickers and Yerin HA in leading roles, supported by the Australian screen veterans Robyn Malcolm, Damien Garvey, Thom Green, George Mason, Jess de Gouw, Miriama Smith and Catherine Mcclements. Cherie Nowlan and Ben C. Lucas directed the series.
Production received support from Screen Tasmania, of which producers note, was essential for authentic adaptation of Harper’s novel.
“The Survivors” continues the recent series of successful original original productions of Netflix Australia, after “Apple Cider Vinest” earlier this year and award -winning series “Hartbreak High” and “Boy Swallows Universe”, which have the best drama series and best miniseries with the Aacta Awards respectively. public, but have also reached the worldwide top 10 of Netflix.
