Carly Pearce looks back on 10-year friendship with ‘real sister’ Kelsea Ballerini: ‘I am so lucky’

Carly Pearce Remembers all the little thing about those first hangouts Kelsea Ballerini.

“I met Kelsea in a female support group for songwriter of a female artist,” said Pearce, 34, exclusively told US Weekly Before you perform at NBCs OPENY 100: A LIVE CELEBRATION. “That sounds so strange, but we were both young, aspiring-singer-songwriters who found community because someone thought we should have a female community in Nashville.”

While Pearce remembers that it was a bit ‘jealous’ of Ballerini, 31, after concluding a record deal, the couple developed a reliable bond that has endured the test of time.

“I think that vulnerability and honesty that we both still bred a friendship at that time, in those early years for both of us who went on when she had her first hit single, and she thought to take me on the road,” Pearce recalled Us. “She would post about my music and once let me ride on her tour bus because I was driving in a bus with 12 passengers and did not get any sleep for a show.”

Nowadays, Pearce and Ballerini have both safe record agreements, are members of the Grand Ole Opy and they stay closer than ever while they continue to live their musical dreams.

In an industry that can become competitive, the singer ‘We Don’t Fight More’ is grateful that she found a good friend early in her journey.

“I have many acquaintances in this city, and many people will tell you that they are friends with people, and it’s not true,” Pearce – whose newest album Hummingbird: No Rain, No Flowers (Deluxe) is now – explained. “When I think of Kelsea, that’s my true sister in this industry. She’s been around for 10 years.”

The schedule of Pearce remains full of broken while she is celebrating her latest album release. In addition to the performance at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California, in April, the artist “I Hope Youll Happy Now” will continue to travel for the Hummingbird world tour.

“We really support each other, talk about each other – cry against each other, ventilate at each other,” Pearce explained about her band with Ballerini. “She is a confidant that I am so lucky that I can see her literally, and she has seen mine rise and bloom, and so it is nice to do things together with your friend who understands what you think with one look.”
