Carey Hart Reveals the Secret of 19 Years of Marriage to Pink (Excl)
Carey Hart gave us his best-kept secret about his twenty-year marriage to Pink.
“I’m 19 years old, so I still get called an idiot,” Hart, 49, exclusively joked We weekly while discussing his appearance Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test. “I’m looking forward to being 35 and no longer being an idiot.”
All jokes aside, Hart did have a real answer to share with us.
“I think it’s communication, having a teammate [and] talking through bad situations,” Hart said. “Marriage isn’t easy, and it always comes back up.”
Hart and Pink, 45, met in 2001 and married in 2006. Despite splitting two years later, they eventually reconciled in 2010. The singer and Hart welcomed daughter Willow and son Jameson in 2011 and 2016, respectively.
According to Hart, he and Pink are “very competitive in everything.”
“Everything is a competition, especially with me,” Hart joked. “We are very, very competitive people.”
The former motocross rider will then bring his competitive spirit to the fore Special forces season 3, but it was admittedly “hard” being apart from Pink and the kids.
“My wife is about to wrap up a two-year tour, of which I came off tour to do this show, and we eat, sleep, breathe together and so, yeah, it’s been hard,” Hart admitted. Us. “It was probably a nice vacation for my wife because she was away from me for a few weeks, but it was tough.”
Missing home eventually became a “secondary thought” for Hart after becoming “so immersed” in his own Special forces course.
“Once you get there and you get on that boat for the start of the show, the intensity and the lack of sleep, and the lack of thought process in anything other than what you’re doing at that moment,” Hart recalled. “Your nerves are running high, your fears are running high, your adrenaline is running high. It was just a complete immersion situation.
It does not mean that any part of the Special forces was easy to tackle.
“For me, the hardest part was the unknown. We all have control over our lives. We get out of bed, we go through the day, we make decisions,” Hart said. “If you give up those opportunities to decide for yourself, and stand in line and follow the DS and go through this experience; that was probably the most shocking part for me.
Hart also learned that he could “dig a little deeper” to continue to overcome barriers in every task.
“It’s easy to throw in the towel in everyday life, and this was a situation where if you threw in the towel, you went home,” Hart said.
Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test Season 3 premieres on Fox Wednesday, January 8 at 8pm ET.
