Brianna Chickenfry made the ‘right decision’ when she spoke about Zach Bryan
Brianna “Kip” LaPaglia is glad she talked about her relationship with Zach Bryan.
“I knew I was making the right decision,” LaPaglia, 25, shared in an Instagram Story on Thursday, Nov. 7, after detailing alleged emotional abuse during her one-year romance with Bryan on the latest episode of Barstool Sports’ “BFFs” podcast .
“And I believe that not going all out and not telling everything was also the right decision,” LaPaglia continued in her message to fans. “You get the picture. Your messages made me sob. I can’t believe how many women and men have experienced the same abuse.”
LaPaglia continued, “You have me, I will always be a voice for all of you. If I can take on someone in power, you can take on the bum from your hometown. This is all two weeks later, so I’m still processing everything I’ve been through. I will continue to process and heal with all of you!”
“Morale > 12 million,” the podcaster concluded her post, referencing an alleged non-disclosure agreement that she claimed Bryan asked her to sign.
On Thursday’s “BFFs” podcast, LaPaglia opened up to cohosts Dave Portnoy And Jos Richards about her surprising breakup with Bryan last month. The online personality accused the country singer of emotionally abusing her during their relationship.
“It’s not just for me, it’s for everyone who has been emotionally abused, it’s for everyone right now who has been emotionally abused,” LaPaglia said in the episode. “It’s for people who don’t have a support system like I was lucky enough to have [while] going through this.”
“The last year of my life was the hardest year of my life, dealing with the abuse from this guy,” she added. “I’m still scared of him, my brain has been rewired. I’m afraid of making him angry. Last week I didn’t want to talk about it because I was scared.”
LaPaglia also said she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement that she claimed 28-year-old Bryan offered her money in exchange for.
‘I still said: your money. You made the women before me believe they had no other choice,” she claimed. “And to take money from you, to write down their experiences, to sign what they went through, you get to go away and sing your little songs on stage like you’re a good guy.” (We weekly contacted Bryan’s representatives on Thursday for comment on LaPaglia’s claims.)
Bryan announced his divorce from LaPaglia on October 22 via an Instagram Story statement. LaPaglia said at the time that she was “blindsided” by the divorce.
“Addressing something: Brianna and I broke up [sic] and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” Bryan wrote. “She has loved me unconditionally for a long time and I will always thank her for that.”
He continued: “I have personally had an incredibly difficult year and have struggled through some pretty serious things. I thought it would be helpful for both of us to date in different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.”
