Brandon Blackstock’s daughter Savannah breaks silence at his death
Brandon Blackstock’s daughter Savannah Blackstock Lee shared a statement about her father’s death.
“My father never lacked my dreams. No matter how high or how far he has made a way,” wrote Savannah, 23, via Instagram On Tuesday, August 19. “Not only did he make my dreams come true, he chased them with me. He was there worldwide, my greatest cheerleader. He is my best friend, my voice of reason and my favorite phone call every day.”
For the past six months, she opened with her father by finding a “new way” of their relationship through their shared faith.
“He always loved the Lord, but 6 months ago he was looking for the Lord. He was hungry for the word and we did it together,” she said. “He donated me more than I could have asked and earned my whole life, but 12 days ago he blessed me the most valuable gift I could have asked for. The gift to know where he is now, in heaven with our savior.”
She continued: ‘I lost a piece of my heart and my favorite cowboy, but heaven got an angel. I am so grateful for the time I have had and I can’t wait for eternity. I love your dad and I will miss you indefinitely. Enjoy your ranch there, God has designed it with your heart in mind. ❤️. “
In addition to her moving tribute, a carousel of images was with her father throughout her life, including snaps from her wedding riding and Van Brandon who held her and husband held up Quentin Lee’s 3-year-old son, more. (The couple announced in July that they expect baby no. 2.)
Brandon shared Savannah and Son Seth, 18, with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth as well as daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson.
On August 7, a representative of the Blackstock family confirmed that he had died at the age of 48 after a three-year cancer fight.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has died,” they said in a statement US Weekly. “Brandon fought bravely against cancer for more than three years. He died peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time.”
One day prior to the announcement of his death, Clarkson, who after seven years of marriage from Blackstock Split, revealed in 2020 that she had to postpone her residence in Las Vegas due to the unknown Blackstock disease.
“Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the August Studio Session Data in Las Vegas,” Clarkson explained via Instagram on August 6. “Although I normally keep my personal life private, the father of my children is sick and at the moment I have to be fully present for them.”
Clarkson shared that “sincere it was sorry for everyone who bought tickets for the shows and I appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
After his marriage to Ashworth from 2001 to 2012, the son of music managers Narvel Blackstock And Elisa Gayle Ritter Married Clarkson in 2013 after they were dated for almost two years.
“Brandon is not my other half. He is a whole and I am a whole,” Clarkson explained in her May 2015 Resources Cover -Story. “I have never believed in someone who takes care of me, and that is probably because I grew up poor and without much family stability.”
The pair welcomed River and Remington in 2014 and 2016 respectively. Almost four years after the birth of Remington, Clarkson applied for a separation of Brandon in June 2020, according to documents obtained by Us.
