Actor Brad Pitt fainted at the Las Vegas Grand Prix while filming high-stakes scenes for his upcoming Formula 1 movie.

The film, which is co-produced by seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, filmed Pitt directly at the Vegas circuit – with new footage providing a shocking look at the scene of his car crash.
A fan-shot video from the track showed the 60-year-old fully dressed in racing gear as he limped away from the collision.
The actor was seen staggering away from the location before falling onto a padded mat on the ground, which was being held by the film crew.

Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a retired racing driver who makes a comeback with the fictional team APX GP.

APX GP even released a fake statement about the crash to fuel hype for the film’s upcoming release.

It said: “During qualifying, Sonny suffered a significant impact that required immediate medical evaluation.
“Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously and Sonny’s health remains our top priority. Although Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s race as he focuses on recovery.

“The whole team is behind him and we will provide updates as they become available. Joshua will race solo tomorrow and help the team move forward.”
The film, directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski also stars English star Damson Idris as Pitt’s teammate Joshua, along with actors Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Kerry Condon and Sarah Niles.

Hamilton has since consulted with the filmmakers to ensure the authenticity of the film.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently admitted that Hamilton’s input was costly, especially because of the adjustments they had to make.

Pitt’s fictional team for the film even made a fake statement about the collision.

Bruckheimer said: “Everything he brought to this film, I can’t even thank him and all the people from F1 who made it all possible.
“The authenticity he brings, we simply can’t imagine what goes into what a driver does and what the sport has to offer to an audience.

“Sometimes we don’t like to hear some of the things he says because it costs us more money to fix things, but we’re all for it, we want to make it great, and he definitely helps us.”
Production on the F1 film is in full swing, with Pitt spotted at the Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City and filming more scenes for the film in October.

The A-lister attended Formula 1 races and filmed last month.

The high-octane film is scheduled for release in June 2025 and is expected to be a summer hit – with Pitt behind the wheel of a specially modified F2 car.
The film will also feature cameo appearances from real F1 drivers.
