Pitt, who owns several properties around the world, is said to have been away from the home when it was broken into on the evening of June 25. He had appeared at the London premiere of “F1” on June 23.

Police said the burglars entered the property around 10:30 p.m. after climbing a fence and then smashing a window. They did not reveal whether De Ramon or any other person was present at the time.

Authorities said they responded to a activated alarm at the property and discovered evidence of the burglary at Pitt’s address — although the actor has not been publicly identified by police as the owner of the home.
