‘Both parties do it now’

Bill Maher concentrated the conversation of Friday ‘Real Time’ episode about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to tackle the subject in his monologue and discuss the Fall -Out with his guests, the Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro and the Atlantic Writer Tim Alberta.
“It is a very ugly week in America with all kinds of violence: political violence, regular violence, many people talk about a civil war. And then today in the congress, because Charlie Kirk was murdered, [Colorado Representative] Lauren Boebert got up and said, “We must have a prayer.” So they started to have a quiet prayer. And then she started screaming: ‘No! Silent prayers get silent results. “As if praying out loud is getting big results,” Maher started in his monologue. ” Then the Democrats began to shout against her that there was a school shot in her state. I tell you, so far, the civil war is not very civil. ‘
Maher then put in President Trump’s comments about the heated political environment that remained after the death of Kirk.
“Today they asked the president:” What are you going to do to bring the country together? “And he said,” I know this will bring me into trouble, but I don’t care, “Maher continued and laughed. “He is a different kind of cat. His message is:” Let the healing stop. ”
Later in the episode, Maher Shapiro and Alberta welcomed for a round conversation. Shapiro started the conversation by saying that a poll demonstrated that “only 57% of Gen Z says that there is no excuse for violence in response to speech.”
“There are at least 42% who believe that sometimes there should be a response to speech, which is deeply frightening,” Shapiro said. “I never thought, honestly against God, we would come to this point. Even the murder of political figures is not the same as just being shot in the throat for the crime of debate issues on the public square. And I thought wrong.”
Alberta, who described herself as a “sparring partner from a distance” to Kirk, added that “the reaction to this was not a shock and horror and a reversal of the trend line in these polls. If there is something, it seems, especially for Ben’s point among younger voters, that this becomes mainstream and becomes acceptable.”
“The governor of the state said:” Social media are a cancer, “which I think is true. If you read some comments from people, they are really in such a bubble that they do not understand that it happens on both sides. And the law did it too.
Maher and Shapiro contest reporting on the political ideology of the suspected shooter, which was taken in policy in policy and identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah.
“We know that this child was from political links,” Shapiro began, referring to reporting from the Guardian and Tablet Magazine.
“It’s two days out. We don’t know. The internet is unbeaten to be wrong in the beginning,” Maher replied.
Kirk was randomly released on Maher’s Podcast Club in April.
The 31-year-old Kirk, who became an ally of Trump as co-founder of the non-profit Turning Point USA, who argued for the youth voice for him, was shot on Wednesday afternoon during a debate event that he organized at Utah Valley University. Kirk was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
After an extensive manhunt, Trump appeared on Fox News on Friday morning to announce that a suspect had been taken in the Kirk -Schiet party in police detention.
Together with Alberta and Shapiro, guests were on Friday’s episode of HBO’s “Real Time” Charlie Sheen.
