Boeing passenger plane crashes in South Korea, killing dozens
A Boeing passenger plane crashed in South Korea on Sunday, reportedly killing dozens of people after what authorities called a landing gear failure.
The Boeing 737, en route from Thailand, left the runway at Muan International Airport around 9 a.m. local time
Video taken at the airport shows the plane sliding across the tarmac… unable to stop itself before crashing into what appears to be a wall and exploding.
All told, there were 181 people – 175 and six crew members – on board the flight. Early reports indicate that at least 62 people are dead as of this writing… and the death toll is expected to rise as rescue efforts continue.
We know at least two people were rescued from the crash.

CNN says – citing South Korean officials – that a landing gear defect caused the crash. If you watch the video, you’ll see that the plan slides on its underbelly… with no wheels underneath.
Developing story…
