Blake Lively shares an unconventional ‘family portrait’ with Ryan Reynolds.

The actress, 36, updated her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, July 17, with a snapshot of two framed posters of their upcoming films hanging side by side on the wall. Lively and Reynolds share a sardonic, sharp sense of humor, making them a great fit both on and off screen. After Reynolds posed with his canine costar Penny – who plays Dogpool Deadpool and Wolverine – at a UK screening last week, Lively joked via her Instagram Story: “SOS: He’s trying to get me pregnant again. Put away the dog you find cute despite society’s K9 expectations and take off that damn teal suit! Cheeky.”

The pair are parents to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, as well as a fourth baby. Lively gave birth in February 2023, but did not share the little one’s gender or name.

“If you don’t know the book, the movie works,” Lively said in June. “I don’t think it’s possible that if you read the book and saw the movie, you wouldn’t be happy. We really worked hard on that. I also believe that if you saw the movie and then read the book, you wouldn’t say, “Wait a minute, this isn’t like that.” [the other].’ You can do both. I think they are both very beautiful.”

Like Deadpool, Hoover – who wrote the dramatic novel – has her own diehard fan base.

“She wrote stories that resonated with people and didn’t use all the traditional avenues that people go to,” Lovely said of the author, 44, who initially self-published her books. “She went straight to the people she was talking to and they came out in droves. This story resonated with so many people, so that comes with a great responsibility.”
