Bedhopping and lies in Filmax Pick -Up ‘Every side of the bed’

Spain’s Filmax has taken international rights for ‘Every side of the bed’, the third episode of the hit musical comedy franchise that started for the first time in 2002.
Packaging a production partner Punch, “Every side of the Bed” is a produced by Telecinco Cinema, Weekend Studio, Impala, Lightbox Animation Studios and Toodos Los Lados de la Cama Aie, with the participation of Mediaset España Group, Netflix and Mediteráneo.
The original, entitled “The other side of the bed” (“El Otro Lado de la Cama”), illuminated the Spanish cash register to become the most profitable photo that year.
Director Emilio Martínez Lázaro and writer David Serrano reflected in 2005 with follow -up “The Two Sides of the Bed” with some of the original cast, Ernesto Alterio, Maria Esteve and Alberto San Juan, who repeat their roles. Variety praised the “lively mix of foamy pop and romantic argument” and stated that his “more substantial script and a more mature air … resulted in a slightly dark, richer experience.”
Both buoys with their inventive twist to musical comedies, with dynamic choreography and songs drawn from some of the greatest hits in Spanish and Latin pop music.
The new episode 20 years later is the directorial debut of Samantha López Speranza (TV series “The Favorite 1922”) from a scenario written by Carlos del Hoyo and Irene Bohoyo.
“Every side of the bed” follows former lovers Javier and Carlota who, after decades, are furious to hear that their children, óscar and Julia, are planning to get married. Alterio and Pilar Castro return for this iteration and are accompanied by a young cast led by Jan Buxaadas (“suspicious spirits”), Lucía Caraballo (“You Keep the Kids!”), Sergio Abelaira (a widow game “) and Leire Agiat (” Through my window “).
The PIC also contains special performances by María Esteve, Alberto San Juan, Guillermo Toledo, Secun de la Rosa and Natalia Verbeke, beloved actors who played in the original films in the franchise.
