BBC, ZDF Board Teen series ‘The Lady Grace Mysteries’

BBC, ZDF and France Televisions have collaborated on ‘The Lady Grace Mysteries’, an English-language teen detective series based on the best-selling collection of children’s novels of the same name.

The show is produced by Cottonwood Media (“Find Me in Paris”) and Coolabi Productions, and co-produced by ZDF Studios. It is written by Daytime Emmy Award-nominated writer Anna McCleery, whose credits include ‘Free Rein’ for Netflix, ‘A Kind of Spark’ for CBBC/BYU and ‘Hollyoaks’ for Channel 4.

No fewer than 300,000 books from the collection ‘The Lady Grace Mysteries’ have been sold worldwide. Aimed at 8-12 year olds, the live-action show tells the story of Lady Grace Cavendish, a teenage female detective who works as a private spy for Queen Elizabeth I and navigates the dangerous waters of royal politics in a conspiracy-filled English court. , threats and mystery.

Federation Kids & Family and ZDF Studios are responsible for worldwide sales of the series. Manon Ardisson, head of fiction at Cottonwood Media, and principal director Alexander Jacob, managing director of Cottonwood Media Ltd, will oversee the show’s production.

Cottonwood Media’s David Michel, Cécile Laurenson and Zoé Carrera Allaix said in a joint statement that “when Coolabi introduced the books to us, it was one of those precious moments where you can immediately imagine a really cool TV show.”
