Barrestool’s Frank De Tank in the hospital after bleeding ‘shooting’ of foot

Barrestool Sports Personality Frank FlemingAlso known as Frank de Tank, the hospital was admitted after a problem with his foot led to the loss of a lot of blood.
“I jumped a leak,” said Frank, 49, in a video shared via X on Thursday, August 14. “Just started to shoot blood. My shoe was soaked in blood, I didn’t even feel pain.”
Frank explained that he looked at his foot who was “red like the whole hell” and he was “following blood” while walking.
“I looked and I got a pin prick, I just squirted little pingat,” he went on. “Apparently I have varicose veins. I have to be on crutches. I can’t put a weight on my foot in the coming days.”
The internet personality told fans that he was going to ‘try’ at the weekend to attend the baseball game in New York Mets. (Frank covers the Mets for Barstool.)

In a separate X post on Friday, August 15, Frank shared a photo of the varicose veins in his foot. ((According to Mayo ClinicThey are bulging, enlarged veins that usually influence their legs.) Followers could see the small hole that he referred to in the previous video.
Frank’s injury came in the midst of his continuous running streak, described on social media. The Barstool personality has made it its goal to walk 20,000 steps a day as part of his journey for weight loss.
“I have to be on crutches in the coming days.
Frank previously weighed more than 500 pounds and shared his continuous health trip with Barrestool fans. In January 2024Frank revealed that for the first time in two decades he weighed in less than 350 pounds.

“I have made good progress, I think,” he said in a video that was shared via X at the time. He further explained his weight struggle and shared that he hit 500 pounds in 2015 or 2016. He lost weight when he was admitted to hospital with an MRSA infection around the same time, but the COVID-19 Pandemie in 2020 derailed all the progress he made.
“That is a very good number – very good number,” he shared in the same video, when he entered at 343.2 pounds.
After he had unveiled the issue on Thursday with his foot, Frank fans promised that he would try to keep the walking line alive.
“I’m going to do my best to maintain this line,” he said. “I may not get my 20,000 steps in the coming days, but I will do my best to walk with these crutches.”
