Barbara Palvin opens about the diagnosis and surgery of endometriosis

Super model Barbara Palvin was recently diagnosed with endometriosis.
“Hello guys, it’s a while ago! Just a small update and a few thoughts for those who can relate to what I’m going to share,” wrote Palvin, 31, via Instagram On Sunday, August 17. “For several years I have been dealing with the difficulties that can come up with my menstrual period. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular current, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me. But recently I was advised to find an endometriosis or my symptoms are caused.”
She added: “Every year I went to control my gynecologist, I thought that if I had endometriosis, I would have known about it now, but it turns out that endometriosis cannot be diagnosed with general studies.”
After Palvin had visited a medical specialist, she received an official diagnosis of endometriosis. According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis occurs when tissue is comparable to the womb lining outside the womb grows. The chronic condition can often cause severe pelvic pain, infertility and other health -related problems.)
“Three months later I was operated on,” Palvin explained about her recent operation to treat her condition. “Since then I have finally experienced a period that was easier, and now I know the difference. If you suspect that you could have endometriosis, I encourage you to find out. It helped me a lot, and I am grateful that I did it.”
She continued: “Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long -term complications, and now I am more aware of my body to act quickly if necessary. That is why I have needed to rest and cure completely in the last 3 months.”

Palvin further revealed that she was ‘enthusiastic about this new chapter’ in her life and ‘ready to return to work’.
In addition to her health update, Palvin also shared a handful of photos of her interruption of social media, including hospital Selfies and post-on-outings with husband Dylan Sprouse. Palvin and Sprouse, 33, have been together since 2018 and bound the knot in 2023.
