‘Bad Monkey’ season 2 Casts Zavior Phillips (exclusive)

Zavior Phillips is cast in “Bad Monkey” season 2 at Apple TV+ in a series of regular role, Variety has learned exclusively.

Phillips appears in the second season of the comedy series alongside Lead Vince Vaughn as well as John Malkovich, Yvonne Strahovski and John Ortiz. The first season was based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen, while the second season will be an original story.

Vaughn plays in the series such as Andrew Yancy, a former detective of Miami who knows it works as a health inspector. In the first season, Yancy is drawn into a broad conspiracy after the discovery of a severed human arm off the coast of the Florida Keys.

Phillips plays Eddie, who is described as “a CPA investigating financial crimes.”

Phillips is an emerging actor, writer and comedian. He was recently selected as one of only four participants in the Just for Laughs -Fishes: Writers program of this year and was previously called a comic story to watch the New York Comedy Festival 2024. He is currently on tour with Connor Wood, Grace O’Malley and Maggie Winters. Phillips has written for shows, including “Inside Job” at Netflix and Josh Richards “YouTube Show” Read the Room “. His upcoming acting roles include the “Double Blind” function opposite Lakeith Stanfield and the Disney+ Limited series by Jon Favreau about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

He is being reputed by Verve and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

“Bad Monkey” was developed for TV by Bill Lawrence, who also serves as a showrunner and executive producer via Dooozer Productions. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer van Dobzer also produce Executive, together with Matt Tarses and Adam Sztykiel. Vaughn Executive produces alongside the leading role. Warner Bros. Television, where both Deader and Tarses are among general deals, is the studio.
