As AI use expands, platforms like Brain Max seek to simplify cross-app integration

As more companies choose to bring generative AI tools to their workflows, the number of AI applications they need to connect to their stack increases. An emerging trend brings more visibility in all these applications in one place, so that companies can request, search and check their data and AI applications without having to open extra windows.

Zeb Evans, founder and CEO of ClickUp, told Venturebeat that the goal was to increase productivity and enable customers to continue to use AI in the same way as they have always done, without opening other applications to do this.

“People within companies all use their different models with and without safety permission and switch between different applications to use those models and core applications for work,” said Evans.

Evans pointed out that their customers often switched between applications when they wanted to write a prompt with regard to their work. For example, a user would work on a project on Github or a Word document. They sometimes copy their work to Chatgpt to ask for a question and bring more context to their request. Evans said that the purpose of Brain Max and other all-in-one platforms is to reduce window switching and starting enterprise search, where all their data integrations are already located. It would also help with training and building agents, because the agent can use on clickup and collect the necessary information.

Evans said that because document storage systems such as Google Drive or SharePoint are already integrated into clickup, the large language models embedded in Brain Max do not have to communicate with the APIs of those applications. It just looks for Brain Max and clickup itself.

Ease of finding

One reason why this deeper integrated, all-in-one platforms gain popularity is the importance of context. For the search for Enterprise and Agents to function effectively, they require a deeper insight into what they are looking for. All this context helps to increase the trend of deep research, but ClickUp states that these types of searches are better served if all information is in one place, with permissions that are already present.

One of the first customers of ClickUp for Brain Max is Healthcare Solutions Company Mpassist. Mayor Van Enrico, co -founder of MPassist, said it helped to streamline how employees find information.

The Evans of ClickUp said they designed Brain Max to collect all “newest and best AI models in one place.” However, ClickUp has also developed its own model, called Brain, which optimizes the best model to use for user requests.
