Apple and Anthropic reportedly partner to build an AI coding platform

Apple and Anthropic work together to build a “atmospheric coding” software platform that will use generative AI to write, edit and test for programmers, Bloomberg reported on Friday.
The iPhone maker plans to roll out the software internally, according to Bloomberg, but has not decided whether it will launch it publicly. The system is a new version of Apple’s programming software, XCode, and trusts according to the report of Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet model.
To accelerate its AI efforts, Apple seems to be tapping a network of partners. The Chatgpt from OpenAI already helps to feed the Apple Intelligence functions of the company, and the Gemini of Google can be added as an alternative option in the future, Apple has indicated. Now Anthropic Apple can help write code internally.
Among developers, the newest Claude models from Anthropic are especially popular for coding tasks, especially on atmospheric coding platforms such as cursor and windsurf.
