A source close to the family told Radaronline.com Pitt, 61, has resigned himself to what he sees as a “permanent” alienation of Maddox and Pax, who are now both adults and have no contact with their father.

“He is devastated, but he is starting to realize that things cannot be repaired with the older boys,” the insider added. “He thinks they have turned against him.

“People forget how close he was with both boys. He gave them the world, and now it’s as if he was erased from their lives.”

The turning point, say insiders, may have come earlier this month when Pax was photographed, making Hollywood Hotspot Chateau Marmont visibly drunk before going to a strip club.
