Andrew Windsor’s ‘Scandal Tourists’ turn their home into a major attraction

The allegations have added a new dimension to the long-standing investigation into his judgment and associations.

A source close to the situation said: “The combination of historical controversies and current research has created a level of public interest that is translating into real-world behavior, with people treating the site almost as a landmark.”

Another insider added: “It raises questions about the line between legitimate public interest and invasion of private space, especially when legal issues are still unresolved.”

Windsor is said to have made huge demands on King Charles over the furnishings of his ‘retirement home’, which sources say is driving the monarch ‘mad with frustration’.

The former duke is said to have requested that curtains be moved from Royal Lodge and adapted to Marsh Farm, a process which reportedly required specialist adjustments at significant cost.

He is also believed to have arranged for artworks to be transported from his former home and re-hanged, despite some pieces being too large for the walls of the new property. Premium moving company Gander and White reportedly took on the task.

A palace source told us: ‘There is a growing sense of frustration on the king’s part as he has been very clear about keeping spending under control.

“The continued focus on details such as moving and changing curtains, as well as moving artwork, is seen as exceeding what was originally agreed and pushing the budget beyond acceptable limits.”
