Andrew Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are ‘pushed to move abroad’

According to sources, Andrew and Ferguson were quietly exploring overseas options, including parts of Europe and the Middle East, as early as 2020, but plans stalled due to uncertainty and financial constraints.
An insider said: ‘For years there were talks about spending a significant amount of time abroad, or even settling abroad, but those ideas were always postponed for one reason or another. There was always something that made it feel impractical or premature.
“Now, however, the tone has changed. The encouragement is much stronger and the message being conveyed is no longer provisional – it is a clear impetus to finally take action on those plans rather than keeping them theoretical.”
The move is also said to be related to concerns about their daughters, Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35.
Reports of tensions between Andrew and Eugenie have reinforced the feeling that a complete reset may be necessary.
A source said: ‘Those close to the family sincerely believe that Beatrice and Eugenie would be better served if they had a clear space from their parents’ situation. Creating such a separation is difficult when Andrew and Sarah remain so visibly based in Britain.
“The idea is that real distance, both physical and symbolic, would make it much easier for the sisters to establish their own identities without being constantly connected to their parents.”
