Completion of the top 10 are Shreveport, Augusta, Lafayette, Fayetteville and Birmingham.

Experts blame the widespread availability of fast food connections and cheap, unhealthy Shopping – Chips, desserts, soda – for Widening of waist.

A lack of parks, sidewalks, hiking and cycle paths and swimming pools is also the culprit.

The 10 thinnest cities are Portland, Oregone, New York CityColorado Springs, Colorado, San Jose, California, Minneapolis, Boston, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle and Honolulu, all of whom have a large number of recreational facilities and better access to healthy food.
