Four members of Congress flying to Washington DC had their plane diverted to Kansas City after another passenger became too rowdy – and perhaps too political!
Greg Stanton (D-AZ), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ) were all on an American Airlines flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to DC on Wednesday evening when a “disruptive passenger” forced the plane to make an emergency landing at KC International Airport, according to authorities.

FlightAware, which provides real-time flight tracking data, showed the plane was in the air for more than two and a half hours before landing. While the passenger was behaving unruly, it remains unclear what exactly she did to effect the diversion.
When the plane was parked at the gate, a Kansas City police officer boarded and escorted the passenger off the plane. Another passenger recorded video of the woman as she got out and shouted: “Sorry people, you live in a fascist state.”
An American Airlines representative confirmed to TMZ … that police removed the passenger from the plane in Kansas City before the plane departed for its final destination, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, where it landed safely.
The four members of Congress have yet to speak publicly about the incident.
