Amazon’s ‘Fourth Wing’ TV series Showrunner Exits

“Anne with an E” Maker and “Breaking Bad” writer Moira Walley-Beckett has left Amazon’s TV series Adjustment of “Fourth Wing” after he was registered as a showrunner last July, Variety has learned.

For the first time under development in October 2023, the TV series ‘Fourth Wing’ is coming from Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. The TV series “Fourth Wing” is not yet ordered series and has no cast associated with the project.

Based on the best-selling Romantasy Book series by author Rebecca Yarros, called “The Empyrean” novels, is “Fourth Wing” in the Brutal World of Basgiath War College, where there is only one rule: Graduate of that. From our protagonist, the 20-year-old Violet Sorgail, it was always expected to lead a quiet life, but she sent a completely different path when her mother, a general in the army, commands her to join the hundreds of candidates who strive for dragon riders, the elite of Navarre.

Executive producers on “Fourth Wing” include Jordan and Outlier President Elizabeth Raposo, together with author Yarros and Liz Pelletier (head of “Fourth Wing” publisher Entangled Publishing). Outherier Society Executive Vice President of TV Stefano Agosto will produce co-executive.

The “The Empyrean” book series from Yarros (which is five books in total) began with the release of May 2023 of Mega New York Times Bestseller “Fourth Wing”. The sequel, “Iron Flame”, made shelves in November 2023 and “Onyx Storm”, the third book in the current series (currently planned as five books) debuted in January. The titles and release data for the fourth and fifth books have not yet been announced.
