Amazon says its AI video model can now generate minutes-long clips
Amazon has upgraded The AI video model, Nova Reel, with the possibility to generate videos for two minutes.
Nova Reel, announced in December 2024, was the first trip of Amazon in the generative video commin. It competes with models from OpenAi, Google and others in what quickly becomes a busy market.
The newest Nova Reel, Nova Reel 1.1, can generate “Multi-shot” videos with “consistent style” in Shots, explained AWS developer lawyer Elizabeth Fuentes in a blog post. Users can offer a prompt of up to 4,000 characters long to generate a two -minute video consisting of shots of six seconds.
Nova Reel 1.1 also introduces a new mode called “Multishot Manual”. In this mode, the model can refer to an image, along with a prompt to offer more control over the composition of a video recording. According to Fuentes, Multishot Manual can generate videos with a maximum of 20 recordings with an image of 1280 x 720 resolution and 512-maximal sign manual.
Nova Reel is only available via AWS platforms and services, including Berock, Amazon’s AI DEV Suite and customers must request access. As with most generative AI systems, questions have been developed with the help of ethically healthy methods.
Video-generating models are trained in a large number of examples of videos to ‘learn’ the patterns in these videos to generate new clips. Some companies train models on copyrighted videos to get the owners or makers without permission, and when these models “regurgile” protected still -protected stills, it says users of the models to IP -rights issues.
Amazon has not unveiled the source of Reel’s training data, nor has it offered an explicit way for makers who may feed the data sets of the models with their videos to unsubscribe. However, the company has said that it will protect all AWS customers who are accused of violating copyright with media generated by its models, in accordance with its compensation policy.
