Amazon Music’s new AI feature generates personalized playlists every Monday

Since Spotify launched an AI DJ, Amazon Music has been developing its own AI-driven functions, including AI generated playlists and AI-assisted search, to compete more effectively with the music giant.
Now Amazon Music is launching a new position called “Weekly Vibe”, designed to further personalize the listening experience. The position is rolled out today for American customers on all subscription layers in the app on both iOS and Android.
Recognizing a common challenge with which enthusiastic music streamers are confronted – who get the same songs tired after extensive listening – Weekly atmosphere you want to keep playlists fresh every week. Every Monday, weekly atmosphere uses AI to make personalized playlists that reflect your recent listening habits, taking into account your evolving “musical moods” and interests, the company explains.
Moreover, the new, similar music suggests to improve the discovery experience.

To find your weekly atmosphere playlist, go to “Library” at the bottom of the screen and select “Made For You”. Here you will find the playlist of the week, complete with a new title, description and composite numbers. Each playlist focuses on a specific theme or genre, such as a selection of hip-hop tracks or pop hits.
You can also share your playlists with friends, place them on social media and store playlists in your library for future listening.
Weekly atmosphere builds on the ‘Maestro’ playlist generator of Amazon Music, who was rolled out in Beta last year. With Maestro you can enter instructions – as in which mood you are or even random emojis – and the AI creates personalized playlists that correspond to the request.
