Two different officers were shot at Alex Pretti in the incident Saturday that killed him… according to a Department of Homeland Security report to Congress.
Customs and Border Protection released the results of the initial investigation into Pretti’s shooting … and admitted to Congress that a Border Patrol agent and a Customs and Border Protection officer had both fired their weapons.

According to CNNThe report reads: “CBP personnel attempted to take Pretti into custody. Pretti resisted the efforts of CBP personnel and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, a Border Patrol agent shouted, ‘He has a gun!’ several times. Approximately five seconds later, a (Border Patrol agent) discharged his CBP-issued Glock 19 and a (Customs and Border Protection officer) also discharged his CBP-issued Glock 47 at Pretti.
The report does not indicate whether either shooter hit Pretti. CBP personnel provided medical assistance at the scene, the report said.
As you know… Pretti was thrown to the ground and shot dead by DHS agents on Saturday in Minneapolis. The murder went viral online and caused massive outrage across the country.
Trump Administration officials quickly labeled Pretti a “domestic terrorist”… which his family called one of the many “sickening lies” the federal government tried to spread about him.
Pretti had a gun with him at the event… even though he had a permit to legally carry a concealed weapon. The critical care nurse who worked for the Veterans Administration was 37 years old.
