Alex Murdaugh is insisting on a new texts from ‘drug dealer’

In addition to the never-before-seen text messages, Alex’s lawyer also expressed his concern about the fact that Smith was not prosecuted, despite what he called ‘evidence’ that points to Smith as one of the largest Oxycontin dealers in the state.
Harpootlian said: “(he is) wandering through the streets, I may hear from the state, and we are perplex why Eddie Smith received this preferential treatment once Alex was convicted, there was no reason not to continue and continue him.
“Everyone has argued guilty. Everyone who was sued has guilty except Eddie Smith. Now these texts would have given us additional information, we believe, and I have spoken with (co-counsel) Jim Griffin.
“It may have made the difference that we called him to the stand or not call him to the stands. So yes, they are important.”
Alex is already addressing his conviction, with reference to allegations of jury tampered by Colleton County Clerk by Court Becky Hill, who has been arrested and accused of obstruction of justice.
