Yes, even celebrities have their favorite celebrities.

Adele gave her favorite celebrity, Meryl Streepa hug on Friday, November 1 during her residency show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Posted in a video via X the “Hello” singer was performing at her Weekends with Adele show at Caesars Palace when she spotted the iconic actress in the audience. Coincidentally, Adele was dressed as Streep’s character, Madeline Ashton, from the 1992 film Death Becomes Her.

In the video, Adele bows to the Oscar-winning actress before shouting, “What an honor, I love you!” The two hugged and Streep, 75, blew Adele a kiss and applauded before the musician continued her performance.

This isn’t the first time a major celebrity has shown up at the singer’s long-standing residence. Superstar Celine Dion appeared on her show on Saturday, October 26 and brought Adele to tears.

Dion, 56, and Adele shared a hug as the crowd cheered. Dion held Adele’s face in her hands and kissed her hand in the emotional moment. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer attended the show with her two sons, Nelson and Eddy, both 14 years old.

Shared in images from the show via XAdele told the crowd: “Give it up for Ms. Celine Dion!” when she returned to the stage.

Dion then posted about her experiences via Instagram and complimented Adele on her performance.

“Adele, we are so grateful to you for welcoming me and my family back to the Colosseum for your amazing show!” Dion wrote in her November 1 post. “Your performance was spectacular, your production was so beautiful. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing… it was such an emotional evening for all of us.”

The Colosseum, where Adele has her residence, was coincidentally built in 2003 for Dion’s own Las Vegas residence.

Adele recently made headlines after sharing an update on her recovery from an ear infection. The Grammy winner spoke about the painful experience during her concert on October 25.

“I actually have an ear infection, which is actually pretty grim. I’ve never had an ear infection,” she said in a fan video on social media. “It’s the most painful thing that has ever happened to me in my life. It was worse than childbirth.”

She explained that she contracted a “rare water bacteria” while touring Munich over the summer.

“[It] is difficult to treat, so I took the wrong antibiotics for a few days,” said the singer. “They managed to get me one that started working. I’m no longer in pain, which is great, [but] I am a little deaf in my left ear.”
